# 'Permissions' Basic Networking Utilities (BNU) Data Base Support File.
# -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
# This file specifies the permissions that remote computers have with respect
# to login, file access and command execution. Permissions are granted based
# on the login name used by the remote computer and/or the name of the remote
# computer. Therefore, there are only two basic entry types:
#
# LOGNAME - Permissions for remote computer login names (used
# when remote computers call you).
#
# MACHINE - Permissions for remote computer machine names (used
# when you call remote computers).
#
# Entries are structured in terms of 'name=value' option pairs. The value can
# be a list in the form:
#
#     <name>=val1[:val2 ...]
#
# Names can be any of the following:
#
# LOGNAME=remote_login_user_name[:...]
# This is the list of login names that the remote computer must use
# if it wishes to talk to you. Any login name used by the remote
# computer but not listed here will be denied access. This option
# is rather useless if the remote computer never calls you.
#
# MACHINE=remote_machine_name[:...]
# This is the list of machine names that the remote computer must use
# if it wishes to talk to you. Any machine name used by the remote
# computer but not listed here will be denied access. This option
# isn't useful if you never call the remote computer.
#
# REQUEST=yes
# Determines if you'll allow the remote computer to request files. For
# example, suppose someone on the remote computer requested a file off
# your system, this option would control that request. If you'll
# allow this request, set the value to "yes". Any other value denies
# the request (default).
#
# SENDFILES=yes|call
# Determines if you'll allow the remote computer to take the files
# that have been queued up for it. Set the value to "yes" to allow it.
# The default is value is "call" which specifies that files queued for
# the remote computer will be sent only when your computer calls the
# remote computer. This option is used only with LOGNAME.
#
# CALLBACK=yes|no
# Determines if you want the remote computer to call you back. If so,
# set the value to "yes". The default value is "no". This option is
# used only with LOGNAME.
#
# READ=path[:...]
# The list of paths that you'll allow the remote computer to read from.
#
# WRITE=path[:...]
# The list of paths that you'll allow the remote computer to write to.
#
# NOREAD=path[:...]
# The list of paths that you'll not allow the remote computer to read
# from.
#
# NOWRITE=path[:...]
# The list of paths that you'll not allow the remote computer to write
# to.
#
# MYNAME=name
# You can set your system name depending on the name of the system
# you're calling or is calling you. In other words, you can be many
# system names -- one per site if desired.
#
# COMMANDS=command[:...]
# The list of commands that you're system will execute for the remote
# system. If you want the remote computer to have access to any and
# all commands on your system, say "ALL". This option is used only
# with MACHINE. If you want to allow "forwarding" of files, you'll
# need to add "uucp" to the COMMANDS list.
#
# VALIDATE=remote_machine_name[:...]
# Used to futher validate the machine access.
#
# PUBDIR=public_directory
# Overrides the public directory for this machine.
#
# DIRECT=yes|no
# If "yes" allows remote system to copy files directly to the
# destination file.

# This entry for public login, it provides the default permissions.
LOGNAME=nuucp
