The way this works:

When you lpr, the printcap calls a filter which corresponds to the
laserwriter. The binary lw_filter is linked to each name, for instance
standard_bod. lw_filter looks at arg[0], uses that as the user argument
to call rexec to bashful. Each printer has an account, and by using
a shell script on bashful, prints to each localtalk printer using a
supermac card.

So to install:

Run "make" so that lw_filter gets built
edit /etc/printcap, put the correct paths for the output filter of=.
Run the shell script mkspool with the argument "./mkspool standard_bod".

The shell script makes the spool directories, appends the printer standard_bod
to the end of the makefile and runs make links.

TO BE DONE:
login name not a great way to specify the name space. The daemon should
do it internally. Rexecd not the best daemon in the world. Would write
my own.
If the AUX box is down, filter should hang around, reset, try again. I
think it just errors out.
No accounting whatsoever.
Some of the transcript shell scripts don't like PRINTER names with blankspace.
While this is not illegal, some local hacks were needed.
Nice if AUX ran lpd right.
